Where to eat in Mesquite, NV?
Four guys from New England who like good food are headed to Mesquite for a golf vacation in March. Any recommendations for dinner in or near Mesquite would be appreciated. I would be especially happy to learn of some good Mexican food. Thanks.
PS We will be traveling back and forth to St George a couple of times to golf, so if there's anything outstanding either in St George or en route, we'd like to know of that as well. Thanks again.

We moved to Mesquite about 6 months ago from MA. Good Mexican can be found at Los Lupes and Los Cazadores, both in Mesquite. If you want a really nice steakhouse, tableside service with great spinach salad and bananas foster, Katherine's at Casablance Hotel is very good. Some of the golf courses have great restaurants. Oasis and Palmer Golf Course clubhouse has two restaurants --- The Grille Room, which has a limited but very good dinner menu, and the Redd Room which has very good food, like Katherine's. Wolf Creek has lunch daily and dinner on the weekends. Falcon Ridge has a nice lunch menu. Conestoga Golf doesn;t have a clubhouse yet but the course is beautiful. The Purple Fez has homestyle food. Panda Garden is the best Chinese in town-- a little different from East coast chinese, but pretty good. The steaks out here are amazing. There are two good sports pubs in St George, Iggy's and Players. Interesting food at The Bent Fork, which has southwest italian fusion.
Mr. Bigshotno1 is a little confused in his response,. The Oasis has been closed for over a year. If you want to gamble, there is Casablanca Casino, Eureka Casino, and Virgin River. If he meant that gambling is legal, he is correct; if I am reading in between those lines correctly, he is wrong as prostitution is illegal in Clark County.

Los Lupes has decent Mexican food in Mesquite. My wife goes to Mesquite more than I do and I recall her saying Purple Fez Bistro is okay. St. George has an In-N-Out Burger which you might want to try if you've never been there. I'm not as big of a fan of In-N-Out Burger as most people seem to be, but it's okay and worth going to just to have gone there.

re: Eric
Only places in Mesquite are the two big casinos, the oasis and I forgot the name of the other one. You should be able to find something in St. George.
Your going to be too far north for decent Mexican though. Just my opinion. There is alot of fun for four guys to have in Mesquite if you know what I mean, and it's legal!
