Slider Buns?

Planning on doing some sliders as finger food for a Christmas party this weekend.
Any recommendations on best buns to use, where to get them?
I'd like something smaller than a dinner roll if possible.

    YOu can also use pizza dough. That way you can cut it down to the right size. I find most commercial slider buns too large. follow instructions on label (or recipe) then cut out with cookie cutter to deisired size. Cover and let proof for another 15 min then bake at 350 till golden brown (10-12 minutes!) I find it is less work than going to a specific store and looks cuter!

      What a fab idea, LexiFirefly. I happen to have some frozen pizza dough in my freezer and unfortunately it didn't come with instructions. Should I try to roll it out and if so how thick? Help, I'm not a baker.

      Just one note, most posters stated that if you want to get them from the Ace Bakery, you need to provide at least 24 hours notice. When I went, there were dozens of slider buns available at the bakery. It just depends on how many you needed to get.

        I think Ace does them as a matter of course now, and I've seen the Ace ones at places like McEwen's. If you want something a little softer, All the Best required advance notice.
