we will brave the crowds and head to ikea on Sunday...where can we go for a GOOD lunch, not a sandwhich, or a GOOD brunch. don't care if we have to drive into town, just want something GOOD!!

Thats a pretty broad question...you might want to post more about your geographic and cuisine preferences. Some good places are Lulu (brunch until 3:00 on Sunday), Commonhouse, The Penguin (not positive if its open on Sunday...might want to call first), Nolen Kitchen, Pio Pio and many more I can't think of at the moment. None of my suggestions are particularly close to Ikea, however...hopefuly others can chime in on suggestions in that part of town.

Lulu is my favorite place to get brunch on a Sunday.

Me too. Again, not terribly close to Ikea, but then again nothing worth seeking out is. You could always have the Swedish meatballs and lingonberries at Ikea in their cafeteria. I did, just to do it, and wouldn't seriously recommend it. :-P

Lulu for their pork & sweet potato hash or the lulu burger - topped w/ house-made pimento cheese, fried green tomato & jalapeno relish, yum.

Why not eat at Ikea? Breakfast till 11:00, then the regular menu of meatballs, gravy, mashed potatoes, ligonberry jam - YUM. They also have salmon, mac and cheese, salads, desserts, etc. It's inexpensive but surprisingly good.

In fact, I just went to check the menu and discovered they are having a $1 meatball special this weekend (12/12 and 12/13/09)! Can't beat that. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/store/charl...

It's kinda gross, to be honest. Compares to school lunch of yesteryear. Its cheap but it tastes like it.
