Looking for an "old school" type place to celebrate my Dad's birthday.
Thanks in advance.
Check out Black Duck-lovely, relatively quiet, fireplace, live music, nice food. It's in a hotel (Park Avenue South hotel I think it's called).
My first thought was Chez Josephine; super glitzy and celebratory. I like Knickerbocker but do they not have live music just on one or two nights?
How about Knickerbocker? I have no clear memory of the food, but the space is nice and "classic," and there is a piano.
