Honeycomb in Calgary

I has this fantastic appetizer at SALT in Vancouver that I'm going to try to duplicate, but I need honeycomb. It was simply honeycomb paired with a mild blue cheese and a good shirz (I think). Does anyone know where I can find honeycomb??

we have tons- I am not sure where my partner picked it up but I think it was at CFM. Amazing price too- Alberta is a huge honey producer and if anything it should be easier to find here than just about anywhere.

really $8/.4 of a pound. Honey comb requires no processing/ unlike honey which requires separation etc... So why are people paying more for it than for honey?

Golden Lane Honey at the Calgary Farmer's Market should have some. They're more or less across from Phil & Sebastian's.

Or you can try their website: www.goldenlanefoods.com - they carry it there for sure: 0.40lbs for $8.

Thanks for reminding me. I'd been meaning to pick some up myself for a similar pairing.

+1 for Golden Lane Honey at CFM - they're next to 'Going Nuts' iirc - which probably has some spiced nuts that would complement the cheese. Don't know if Sylvan Star does a blue but they probably do and they're right next to Phil & Sebastian's.
