Farewell for now

idreamoffood Dec 10, 2009 12:06 PM

I am graduating from law school and moving to Boston for a little while so I am looking for a restaurant to celebrate at next friday for about 10-12 people. I want it to be relaxed, cheap and group-eating oriented. I had thought of congee village or grand szechuan, but thought maybe the latter lacked atmosphere even though I love the food

Red Egg is closed for a private event next friday
Does anyone have any other similar suggestions?

The atmosphere at the Grand Sichuan on 7th Ave. is actually a couple of steps above that of the other restaurants in the chain.

Right. I'm not at enterprising as Bob and don't have the photos to prove it, but I also don't think the decor at the 7th Ave. location in the W.V. is all that bad.

Another option you could look into is Galanga. It's not a large restaurant, but they might be able to seat you at the big, long table in the middle.
