Fort Myers Bar Association

I have heard some good things about Bar Association in Fort Myers. Any of y'all have the inside info on it?

I've had drinks at the bar and I know that they closed the restaurant across the little alley a while back. Perhaps it has reopened. It had a great deal of charm and the boys that own it are very nice. They have some fabulous Art Deco lithographs on the walls in the bar area. I have not heard of anyone eating there lately. The food wasn't much the first time around (about 2 years ago for me). Hopefully someone will know.

i can second lil ms foodie on the bar association. the guys who own it are very nice, and the drinks are good. one asset they have is a great locale, especially with the patio available for seating. it's a bit of old fort myers in spirit....(ie, pre chains and strip malls).

Yeah, it has good Yelp reviews but the News Press gave it a so so review, .... all of those were from this summer. I bet the restaurant part closed down shortly thereafter .

I suspect by the varied way JLB writes, that he/she is a tad schizophrenic!

As often as I will "agree" with some JLB opinions on Restaurant A, I will just as often disagree with JLB's opinions on Rrestaurant B, and wonder what JLB is doing before visiting a restaurant!.

Whereas with other food writers, I generally consistently agree with nearly all of Writer C's opinions, or disagree with all of a writer' D's opinions.
