Tonight my brother and I went to RUB on 23rd street. We have tried to go before, but it has always been packed without any seats. Tonight a Wednesday was only about half full and the service was very fast and prompt.

I had the Beef Brisket sandwich and my brother the pulled pork sandwich. We shared the BBQ wings and a order of fries.

I must say the food was Amazing, the taste impeccable. By far the best BBQ I have ever had. We have also had Daisy May's, and to be honest it was horrible in comparison. RUB was Hot, Crunchy and full of flavor. May's was dull, moist and semi-warm or cold.

I really loved RUB, it has become one of my favs in NYC, only third to Blondie's and Second to Rai Rai Ken.

  1. I've been twice and while I don't love it as much as you I do like the ribs. And my friend who is from North Carolina liked the pulled pork, and he should know. So far I haven't liked any of the sides.

    1. The burnt ends (tips of brisket) are phenomenal.

      1. Those smoked wings are fantastic. Be sure to try the onion strings.
