Johnnie's Hideaway Cedar Plank N. A. Salmon RECIPE Please help!

joey125 Dec 9, 2009 11:14 AM

Has anyone had this item at Johnnie's? On a recent trip to Disney we had dinner at Johnnie's and I FELL IN LOVE with this salmon. Anyone interested in picking apart the recipe with me? Cedar planked, very rare sushi grade salmon filet, an aioli sauce? Someone on another board mentioned a crab stuffing, but I don't think we're talking about the same salmon item.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Happy Holidays!

You're gonna need a very hot oven or grill with indirect heat.. the last restaurant I worked in did cedar-plank salmon in a 700+ degree oven. Hot enough to sear the outside while leaving the inside nice and rare or medium-rare...
