I got an email from Living Social (similar to Groupon)....$25 for a $50 gift certificate to PS7.

Thought I'd share the info, as $50 worth of Gina's cocktails will make the holidays more tolerable :)

Haven't used mine yet but it doesn't say "Dining room only" etc so I don't see why not. I usually dine at the bar so I'm hoping I can use it there.

Though some of the groupons and living social deals have specific rules, almost all of the deals that I have bought are: exclusive of tax and gratuity, one per table, and not valid with other coupons (does that include happy hour specials?). There have been questions on groupon strings in the past about alcohol and I have not seen a groupon that excludes alcohol. In fact, most of the living social deals (like today's at Mr. Smith's) say $XX on food and drinks.

I actually called PS7, and they told me that you can use the coupon in the lounge but that it cannot be used during happy hour as it can't be combined with any other promotions (I'm guessing that means it probably wouldn't work for Restaurant Week either -- they are extending, I think). So I am saving it for another non-hh time, but just wanted to pass along the info.

I know for a fact that you can use it in the lounge during nonHH times and not in conjunction with RW.

Right, you just can't use it on happy hour specials.

Can you definitely use it on cocktails too? I know for some of these deals it's food only. If it' works for drinks too then I think it will be worth it but just want to double check. Thanks!

I can't be 100% sure but the only fine print say one per table, not valid on tips. It doesn't say anywhere on the link that you can't use it on drinks.

I bought it as I didn't see anywhere that drinks were excluded. If they are, they would have to put it in the fine print.

Already bought it! I jumped at the opportunity since this is my favorite restaurant. I can easily eat $50 worth of the tuna sliders, flatbreads, and oxtail tots. Plus a few of Gina's cocktails to wash it all down :)

Since you bought it already, what is the expiration date?
I have 4 Newseum tickets from Groupon (I mean, 50% off, so how coul I not?!) that I need to use by 12/31 and we just have no time! I don't want the same to happen with this...

It expires 6/10/2010. I bought it too -- this time, I won't make the mistake of only ordering three tuna sliders!
