Alert! Tamales lady in Astoria. Tasty tamales for $1.

I just found a mexican? woman selling tasty tamales on Astoria Blvd. around Crescent St. She has a shopping cart and a sign with menu and price on it. I bought her tamales yesterday and today. I recommend Tamales Verdes which is spicy green chilli and pork tamales. It's as good as the one I had in Jackson Heights. She said she sells almost every day from afternoon (maybe after 3 or 4 pm. If you are in the area, try it.

I recommend Australian Shiraz to go with her Tamales Verdez.

Haven't seen her recently. She might have gotten arrestado by policia for no tiene licencia.

She moved up a coupla blocks. She can now usually be found in front of City View Pharmacy after 5:00.

I saw her this week. Glad to see her back. Yes, she was right in front of the Pharmacy on Astoria Blvd. bet Crescent and 23rd St. She is there from 4pm ish to whenever she sell everything I guess. Her Tamales Piquet?, the one with green sauce and chicken, is delicous! Get 1 or 2 pieces for snack or appetizer, or get 4 or 5 pieces for a meal. Haven't tried anything else but should be good too.
