Culinarium Winter Food Box

Has anybody signed up for the winter OAS (Ontario Artisan Share) box? I got a trial box last week and it was good but cost $50. I am thinking of signing up for the entire season and was wondering if anyone else had any experience with these boxes. It is worth the money? Is the variety and produce good? Any feedback would be appreciated.

  1. We've been happy with ours so far, the produce has been good quality, a little heavy on the carrots maybe but pretty good with just enough things to try that I wouldn't otherwise buy (romesco, black radishes). It seems to be fairly priced.

    1. I have been signed up for the OAS box since the summer and absolutely LOVE it! The quality of the produce is fantastic and the amount of food they provide is very fair. Sometimes there is too much food for the bag and I'm carrying stuff home in my arms! I love that they put food items in the bag that I wouldn't otherwise buy myself. It forces my family to try new recipes and eat new food items, which is extremely healthy to do. Plus the food is farm fresh and grown around the corner. That to me is the best part of all. I know who's getting the food and I know that it hasn't been shipped from afar, lost essential nutrients, and polluted our environment with plane and truck fuels. If a food item was a problem, they always supplement the bag with a pantry item. For example, mustard, tomato paste. I think it's worth every penny!

        1. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have decided to sign up for the rest of the season. It's so fun to open the goodie box and I love eating local and supporting our farmers and artisans.
