Per Se Salon Question
I'm going to be in New York on Saturday afternoon and would really like to eat lunch in the Salon at Per Se. Does it generally fill up quickly? What time should I arrive?
I've read the other posts about dinning in the salon, but haven't heard any recent news about how tough it is to secure one of these walk-in tables.
I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you!
I was lucky enough to have lunch in the restaurant last Saturday afternoon. The Salon area was pretty empty... I think you will have no trouble at all. I was there from 12:30-3:30, so I don't think time is a factor. Enjoy!

Could I be so crude as to ask approximately how much it cost? Had a divine meal in the restaurant this summer, would like to go back but not lash out quite as much.

Well, the restaurant lunches are the same price, though there's a cheaper 5-course option @ $175/pp. The salon menu is on the per se website:

Not cheap, certainly, but if you wanted to sample something, the Salon is there (and service is still included, so take that into account with the prices). They also give you tasty nibbles if you just want to have a drink.

Lunches should be downright empty in the Salon, so drop by. However, I would call ahead and make sure they're open for lunch that day, as we're in holiday season and private parties start to crop up at all hours.
