Nice spot featuring local fiddle music?

My husband and I are traveling to Montreal this weekend to enjoy the holiday lights and what the city offers at Christmastime. We'd love to find a little neighborhood spot that features great wines/beers and has local fiddle music. Like from Cape Bretton or something? Does anyone know of such a place?

You might like Vices et Versa, which has traditional Quebecois music on Wednesdays. If you're only here this weekend, I see that Yonder Hill, a local bluegrass band, is playing there on Dec 12. Vices et Versa also has a wide selection of local Quebec beer on tap. It's not downtown but can be combined with a trip to nearby Little Italy and the Jean-Talon market.

I think McKibbons on Bishop has a jam session every Sunday night. Or the Irish Embassy on the same street. Give them a call to check.
