Holiday House Restaurants, Florida

I drove by a boarded-up former "Holiday House" restaurant in Ocala, FL this afternoon (December 6, 2009) and thought about having seen these restaurants around the state of Florida over the years. Always thought I'd stop in, never did . I have tried to do a web search for some history of the restaurant chain- found very little. If anyone is familiar with these restaurants over the years, please post some history or a memory. How many "Holiday House" restaurants are still in operation?
It appears that the "original" location is going strong in Deland, FL, but the chain was sold to others in the 1980s. I think a few locations are still in business.
Thanks,
Florida Hound

Hi, folks, just a reminder that our focus is on chow tips on where people can eat today. So if you know where Florida Hound can find a Holiday House, or if you have any thoughts on the food available at Holiday House, please go ahead and share those.

We found the "original" Holiday House in Deland by the traditional family owners. The leg of lamb buffet is a healthy comfort food deluxe! Every Florida native and longtime visitor will be so happy to know they are still there :)
