Costco Tijuana vs. Costco San Diego - Any Hints, Comments?

I hope the mods will leave this subject in place so I can learn from the Chowhounders.
Our angels, the people who help us with dog rescue work gave us a Costco membership.
We live in Rosarito, Mexico, near San Diego and Tijuana.
Do any Chowhounders have cross border experience with Costco? What are your recommendations and advice?
It's been a couple of years since I was in the Tijuana Costco, but I don't remember many major differences in pricing between the NOB and SOB stores. AFAIR, the major exceptions were liquor and produce. But good produce is dirt cheap at Calimax, so Costco doesn't really offer an advantage there.
Since you live in Rosarito, it may make sense for you to buy things like a set of tires or a 36-pack of toilet paper at the Costco in TJ. But so much stuff is so much less expensive in Mexico that it'll be a bit of a task to figure out where the bargains are.
