Purchasing champagne in NYC (only) stores

Where should I go for splits?
Planning on giving them out as holiday gifts to co-workers.

As I don't drink, I have no idea what brand (domestic or imported) to buy.

Need help.

Just FYI, splits and half bottles aren't the same thing - a split is a quarter of a full 750 ml bottle. Pickings among splits are usually pretty slim, so you usually don't have much of a choice of brand. Half bottles are somewhat easier to come by. I haven't been in a while, but Warehouse Wines always carried a fairly good selection.

I was wrong in regard of a split size, i thought it is half a bottle. But at 15$ a bottle (+ tax) maybe you can afford half bottles, which offer the content for two nice sized glasses of bubbly...

Garnet Liquor had some good deals on half bottles of champagne by the case. They had Laurent Perrier when I bought some a few weeks ago, and it is a nice champagne for the money...
