I bought some at the Wine Discount Center on Elston, but it was a few months ago. I'm not sure if it is a regularly stocked item. I'd recommend calling first and asking if they had any in stock (or could get it for you).

I'd be surprised if you can find it locally. Chicago is not a rum town.
If I were you, I'd see if you can find some local liquor stores run by people from the Caribbean. You might have better luck sourcing rums like Lemon Hart in such places.
The Ministry of Rum offers the following advice for what it's worth:
"Both Sams and Binnys have several stores so don't expect to find everything in every store, the newest Sams at 50 E. Roosevelt Rd. and the store at 1720 North Marcey Street, just off North Ave and Sheffield have the widest selections but the other stores are also well stocked.
"Binnys on North Clark St and their newest store at 1132 S. Jefferson Street have the best selections of the Binnys stores, if you only have the chance to visit one or two stores in Chicago. But having said that there are other Binnys stores where you might find something which has been overlooked such as a bottle of Demerara rum bottled by Bristol Spirits that is no longer being bottled.
"There are a couple of boutique stores on Wells south of North Ave that have stocked some hard to find rums in the past."
See http://www.ministryofrum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1077 and http://www.ministryofrum.com/forums/s... for some information about rum in Chicago and some ways to contact lovers of rum in the Chicagoland area.

Binny's bought Sam's in October. The store on N. Marcey is now operating as a Binny's location. Sam's closed their store on Roosevelt Road in the South Loop in August (and their Highland Park store in September) but the Binny's store on Jefferson, mentioned above, is right off Roosevelt and just a few blocks west of the former Sam's location.

I haven't bought it there yet, but I'd be pretty surprised if Binny's didn't carry it. Try the Lincoln Park branch (formerly Sam's), or others.
