I bought some at the Wine Discount Center on Elston, but it was a few months ago. I'm not sure if it is a regularly stocked item. I'd recommend calling first and asking if they had any in stock (or could get it for you).

    1826 1/2 N Elston Ave
    Chicago, IL 60642-1216

I know this thread is old, but if anyone is looking for it (the LH 151), Binny's has it as of late 2011. We got it about a month ago. They had lots. Lots and lots and lots.

If you don't see it on the shelf ask at any Binnys store. The distributor is Distillery Geeks. Any buyer can help you.

Note that this request is from 2009 and OP has not posted anything since 2009.

I'd be surprised if you can find it locally. Chicago is not a rum town.

If I were you, I'd see if you can find some local liquor stores run by people from the Caribbean. You might have better luck sourcing rums like Lemon Hart in such places.

The Ministry of Rum offers the following advice for what it's worth:

"Both Sams and Binnys have several stores so don't expect to find everything in every store, the newest Sams at 50 E. Roosevelt Rd. and the store at 1720 North Marcey Street, just off North Ave and Sheffield have the widest selections but the other stores are also well stocked.

"Binnys on North Clark St and their newest store at 1132 S. Jefferson Street have the best selections of the Binnys stores, if you only have the chance to visit one or two stores in Chicago. But having said that there are other Binnys stores where you might find something which has been overlooked such as a bottle of Demerara rum bottled by Bristol Spirits that is no longer being bottled.

"There are a couple of boutique stores on Wells south of North Ave that have stocked some hard to find rums in the past."

See http://www.ministryofrum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1077 and http://www.ministryofrum.com/forums/s... for some information about rum in Chicago and some ways to contact lovers of rum in the Chicagoland area.

Binny's bought Sam's in October. The store on N. Marcey is now operating as a Binny's location. Sam's closed their store on Roosevelt Road in the South Loop in August (and their Highland Park store in September) but the Binny's store on Jefferson, mentioned above, is right off Roosevelt and just a few blocks west of the former Sam's location.

I haven't bought it there yet, but I'd be pretty surprised if Binny's didn't carry it. Try the Lincoln Park branch (formerly Sam's), or others.

You may want to call ahead first. I checked Binny's website and didn't see it. BTW, the brand is actually called "Lemon Hart", short for "Lemon Hart & Sons Ltd.". It's from the UK.

These two websites sell it and the first one explicitly states that they can ship to Illinois:

Beltramos Wine and Spirits - www.beltramos.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=314480
Internet Wines and Spirits - www.internetwines.com/rws31147.html (currently out of stock)

I've definitely seen it at the Binny's in the South Loop- it's on the bottom shelf of the rum section with the other high-proof rums.
