Two Toronto women seeking good meal close to NY Theater Workshop this Friday.
Enjoy ethnic but not seafood. Not familiar with this part of town so appreciate all rec's.

  1. What's mid-range? $30pp? $50pp? Don't forget about tax, tips, drinks. What time do you wish to dine (pre theater or post theatre)? Other than "ethinic but not seafood" any cuisines in particular?

    1. I'd say 30-40 pp. No seafood because we are at the Oyster Bar the previous night.
Open to anything with great flavours!

Do you mean $30-40pp BEFORE tax, tip, and drinks, or after?

        1. re: kathryn

I 'd say $30 pp before tax tip and drinks.

      2. Gee, I know tons of great places, but, before I mention any, tell me just how close is close. Well, OK, instead I'll ask if B&H (up near St Marks Pl), the Ukrainian (up near 9th), and Veselka (at 9th) are too far, because those are the places I'd go to. Actually, if it was me, I'd also go up to Black Hound (almost at 11th) in the hopes of scoring one of their cafe latte cups (which is a cup made of chocolate filled with espresso mousse), which I'm not even sure they still make, but I'd still give it a shot, just in case, but that's just me, although I suppose some fusspot like my wife would suggest I waste my time calling to ask, but then where would I be?
