Decent grocery in North Beach/Russian Hill areas

We'll be in town over Xmas for a week, and while there's plenty to digest (pardon the pun) on this board in terms of restaurants, we'll be looking for groceries as well, since we're in a vacation rental. Yelp has some suggestions, but I'd appreciate Chowhound opinions. Thanks.

There's a TJs on Bay at Mason and they have a parking garage. So that's the north edge of North Beach or Fisherman's Wharf.

You might think small and consider (do not miss) Liguria Bakery off Washington Square, Molinari's Delicatessen and Victoria Pastry, both on Columbus Avenue, as well as the half dozen or so small independent markets in the area. And don't forget that you are meters from the Chinatown shops on Stockton for veggies, meat, fish and poultry..

Thanks, Liguria is on our list, culled from researching the board, and been to Molinari's and must return. TJ will be a good spot for some things, and thanks too for the links.

for a decent small grocery and deli, Le Beau Mkt is in the heart of Russian Hill.
