Lunch in Arnold / Severna Park tomorrow?

We're gonna be around Anne Arundel Community College tomorrow and will want a good lunch. Not too expensive, but tasty. We are tempted to make the extra drive if there's light traffic to The Narrows, where we've never been and have heard so many good things, but if that doesn't happen what's another option?

For a good lunch in the Severna Park area, my recommendations would be:
    1. Brian Boru for very good, solid Irish accented food. It's what I think of as the most professional restaurant in the area.
    2. Chris's restaurant - if you focus on the papusa's, it'll hit the not expensive and tasty aspects. Their papusas are outstanding. The other food is ok. Be aware that it does
    borderline on dive, though.
    3. Garry's grill - solid American food, very good salads and sandwiches.

That's about it. I guess someone will probably throw out Deep Creek, but not me.

Thanks to both of you. Chris's sounds intriguing. You said in another thread that it's at the old DIego's location, so I guess the address that comes up for that (499 Gov Ritchie) is where's it's at... I think we'll be passing it on the way down so we'll check it out. Papusas are nice.

Although the Narrows are calling too...

        Aren't there a couple of good Mexican/Hispanic places along Ritchie Highway/Route 3?

Yeah, but that's much further down 2, in Glen Burnie. La Sirinita is very good (other locations are in Hyatsville and Baltimore), and, though I haven't been in a while, there is a little bakery/taqueria called Cinco de Mayo, which I also really liked.

We ended up going out to the Narrows, since traffic was light and it was kind of a beautiful day in a cloudy sort of way to sit by the water. But I spotted Chris's and a couple of other places worth checking out. The reason for the visit was to pick up my wife's knives at AACC for the culinary program she's about to start, so we'll be back that way many more times and will check out the various other spots in time...

I live near AACC, and unfortunately pickings are slim around here. Cynthias in SP would have been my suggestion, but they closed earlier this year. Severn Inn is open for lunch and is OK, but gets mixed reviews here. I'd opt for Les Folies on Riva Road in Annapolis/Parole, which is 10 minutes from AACC.

I enjoy The Narrows, but depending on your final destination post-lunch, that may be a lengthy excursion having to endure the Bay Bridge round-trip on a Friday afternoon.
