Quick Tavertine Review

Liked this place a lot. Delicious pastas (the four of us had four different ones and loved them all). The calamari appetizer was a bit tough. But the roasted beet side dish (cold) made up for it. Desserts are all great except for the bland olive oil cake.
Atmosphere is nice. Small. Great DJ.
Was just there on Nov. 28th with a group of 7, and we loved it too. Sorry, I kinda stuck my review under another topic. Didn't have the calamari... I think that was the only app. my table didn't order. My fave was the pig's head terrine. I got the gnocchi and loved it with the milk braised pork, mmm... so tender. My husband had the pici, and judging by the looks on his face it was pretty darn good! Two at our table had the duck, and didn't stop talking about how good it was all evening. We didn't order any sides. My favorite dessert was the panna cotta.
I thought this place was also really reasonable for what we got. We had a big group with wine flowing and 3 courses, and it worked out to $75 per person - including wine, tax and tip. Maybe I overestimate what something would cost in NYC, but we'd pay the same or more for a similar night out in Harrisburg, PA and it probably wouldn't be as good.
