Alcyone, Atlantida

Does anyone know where the great Uruguayan dessert tannat, Alcyone, Atlantida, might be available in the bay area?

Alcyone is a great wine - I can't get it here but I do order it from Bacchus Wine Store - last time I ordered it was 23.39 a bottle

You get it by the glass or the Bottle at Morocco's Restaurant in Downtown San Jose off N. Market Street. He also sells the bottles to take home if you want.

I buy it at my local wine shop in CT. So if you are having a hard time getting it in your area, you can probably search it out online to see if you can get it shipped to you.

Sideways Wine Club in SF 866-746-7293
Wine Bar SF and shop (Embarcadero) 415-391-0758
          Wine Club 415-512-9086

Demand is high. Call retailers first.

You'll also find the Alcyone, Estival, and Tannat on the wine lists at restaurants throughout the bay area.

No bay area hits. Closest one is Chatsworth:

Give JJ Buckley wines a look. Followed by K&L and Wine Club. If not that, New York retailers and Winesearcher.com.

I've had it once, and I know why you seek it...it's tasty. But hard to find!
