What to do with pizza dough - besides the obvious?

I have some whole wheat pizza dough in the fridge that I wanted to use tonight. My husband just told me that his company is shouting for pizza for lunch. So, besides pizza and calzones, are there other things that you make with pizza dough? To be fair, he would still eat pizza for dinner, but I am interested in other options. Thanks!

  1. Stromboli is good- you can google for a recipe but basically you just roll it up with cheese and meat. It makes a nice lunch even when cold.

    1. I have successfully made foccacia bread with leftover pizza dough before, goes great with pasta! I just brushed it with a little EVOO and topped with herbs, fresh or dry, and a few sprinkles of parm.

        We also make a flat, thin foccacia and then use it to make paninis. Our favorite is canned italian tuna with lemon, red onion, and parsley and then add arugula, gruyere, and tomato. Yum!

      2. Don't have to stay Italian with it. take some Hillshire farms cooked beer brats, cut the dough in strips so they will totally cover the brat, wrap it up, put on pan seam side down. bake at 375 until golden brown, delicious!
