Whiskey Scotch Bar/Restaurants in Las Vegas

We are interested in a place with a really diverse and active whiskey menu in Las Vegas. Something with 75+ whiskeys to select from would be ideal. I like comparing whiskeys from different years and regions of the world, and the subtle differences in unusual Scotches of course. Any and all experiences would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  1. CUT actually had a very nice selection, but I don't know if it quite hits the 75+.

    1. This one is easy - Freakin' Frog at 4700 South Maryland Parkway (702-597-9702). More of a drinking than a dining destination (the food quality is decent, though not adventurous). But the "Whiskey Attic" upstairs has an inventory of about 500 spirits across all categories, and one of the best Whisky/Whiskey selections in North America.

Thanks!!! Will give a report when I get back before New Year's.

This would definitely be my top rec as well. However ...

The only caveat to the Freakin' Frog is that ( unless the policies have changed recently ) you have to be a "member" in order to get to the attic and partake of the goodies. I've long since forgotten the cost to become a member but from what I remember you can purchase a temporary or limited access membership.

My point is that it might be worth it to look into it ahead of time in order to avoid disappointment.

I have never been to the whisky attic at Freakin' Frog, but according to a recent article I read in one of the local rags they no longer require membership to get in......Its on my list, btw....

        2. On the Strip, Craftsteak has an awesome Scotch list updated daily. All price ranges, and "flights" are designed as well. Your Freakin' Frog will undoubtedly have a MUCH better price point (don't know; haven't been there.) but if you are close to the MGM walk in and ask to see the Scotch list. I'll have some in mid-Jan., my next visit!

          1. Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay has a 50-page PDF document of various Scotches and Whiskeys. For the life of me I can't remember where I got it, but I do have it. Looks to be about 125ish different types/brands/vintages.

            1. Actually, upon a little more searching, you can download the PDF here:
