Need help making a weekday Lunch reservation

saltilassi Dec 2, 2009 11:47 AM

I am making a business lunch reservation and need help, as I've never been to SF. It is for two, so it would be great if it was not too loud. Good, reasonably priced food, easy parking, or near a parking garage. Something that would make a great impression! Thanks so much.

Do you have any geographic preferences, i.e., is there a hotel where you are staying or office that you are visiting?

Do you have any cuisine preferences?

Do you have a specific budget in mind?

Parking is going to be difficult in many San Francisco neighborhoods, but if you are in the FInancial District or SOMA, there are plenty of (expensive) parking garages.

I'm in the Financial District, for a good impression, I like to take people to Kokkari, Perbacco, and Bix (only open for lunch on Friday). Perbacco can get a bit loud, but you can ask for a table upstairs and it's relatively peaceful. All three are crowd pleasers, but Kokkari seems to get the most positive response. YMMV.

Sens in Embarcadero Center validates, at lunch it's $4 for two hours or $8 for three (after 5pm and weekends it's free for four hours).

Piperade is a good bet, just north of the Financial District, and parking in the area isn't too bad.

What's the time limit on parking meters around there? I think parking in the Levi's garage is $4 per 30 minutes.

Don't know what you are considering reasonably priced, but I would choose Boulevard if I wanted to make a good impression.
