Straightforward Italian on the Strip

Heading to Vegas on Dec. 12 for just a few days and looking for great classic Italian for Monday night--gravy, broccoli rabe, pasta, hold the truffles and organ meat, pls. Since I don't have a car, would prefer that it be on the Strip (staying at the Luxor). And we're not into getting too dressy.

And, while I'm here . . .

The first night (Sat) we have a show with a 7:30 start time and considered eating early since we'll have been flying all day and may be too tired to stay up late and enjoy. Any suggestions? Was mulling a high-end (Wynn?, Bellagio) buffet but if there are better choices, let me know.

The second night we have reservations at Craft Steak. Heard it was fabulous. Finally, Origin of India or Cafe Babareeba? Wanted to do Lotus of Siam but it's closed during our visit.

I dined at 3 different places at Wynn (Alex, the buffet, pizza place) All of these were so FREAKING good tfor what they were (the best in class if you will) that I think Steve Wynn has very high standards. I highly encourage you to try Bartalottas at the very least so I can live vicariously through you and see how good it is. It is on my "must dine" list for our next trip.

Craftsteak is great. I really like Il Molino in the forum shops. Haven't eaten there in a while but it is excellent.
