We were regular customers of Fuji for a long time. The family that opened the restaurant were wonderful and had the best fish, but when the new owners took over, it seemed that the quality was inconsistant. We gave the restaurant more chances than we probably should have considering we were eating raw fish. When Nagoya (Westfield) opened it became our "regular" restaurant. We will got to Fujiyama Mama for lunch but Nagoya wins. So, to answer your question, I have no idea whether or not Fuji has changed owners but I did notice that they have "Reopening - 60% off" signs out front.
I will answer my own inquiry. We went to the new Fuji in Westfield this evening for dinner. It moved into the larger, nicer space next to its old location. The food was delicious! We had sushi pizza and tuna/avacado boat appetizer and some rolls. Everything was fresh and wonderful. I think it is still under the same ownership. But I am not 100% sure. There was a bit of a language barrier when I was asking about the changes. I will definitely go there again.
