I am planning a family dinner in Iowa City to celebrate my parent's 40th wedding anniversary and am looking for restaurant recommendations. We are looking for somewhere with the total package...good food, good service, and good environment. I am hoping to find a place that will make this anniversary a memorable experience for all and am open to any and all recommendations!

I had a great meal at the Chef's Table, great service great food. It is a whole new level of dining in Iowa City. I think they have a private dinning area if you are having a group. It's a really nice atmosphere and when I was there, in July, the staff were all experienced servers from nice places around town.

I have been to the Linn Street Cafe several times, and it has always been very good, regardless of the time gaps (I average an IA City visit once a year). I have taken clients there for dinner, with excellent results. Have the lobster bisque!
