(Urgent!) BK - Takeout lunches around Borough Hall
I just found out I have to work out of downtown Brooklyn tomorrow. I won't have time for a sit-down meal, but I should be able to duck out for some takeout. Are there any good places within, say, a 5-10 minute walk of Pierrepont Plaza?
Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I actually ended up having Donut House and Fascati's, based on a couple of reviews.
Donut House is a little greasy spoon diner. My breakfast was decent, but they get their donuts from one of the coffee cart distributors--not even the good one. Decent prices, but I wouldn't go out of my way.
Fascati's is a slightly-above-average slice joint. I was worried about a few reviewers saying it had gone downhill, and based on my food, I believe them. It might crack my rotation if it were on the UES, but it's nothing special.

re: Bone Thug n Hominy
You should go to Sahadis on Atlantic Ave, or the Damascus bakery next door. GREAT middle eastern options, but you can only take out. There is no place to sit down.

Best slices in that area are at My Little Pizzeria on Court near the movie theater and the Barnes and Noble.
If you can walk down Court to Wyckoff (a block past Bergen), you'll find a great place for very nice takeout, Cobblestone Foods. Again, no seating. There is a lovely park where you can go in nice weather though right at the corner of Congress and Clinton. They even have tables.
Also Ted and Honey is wonderful, right next to that park. http://tedandhoney.com/

Court Order, on Court near Joralemon, or the soup-salad-sandwich place on the corner of Remsen and Court.
