i have not been to london lennies in some time, and a friend of mine is in town who loves fish... is this still the 'local' go to for good seafood or are there better options in the area?

Believe it or not, after all these years, they still got it. We haven't been there for over ten years, but recently sat at the bar, had their crab dinner, couple of oysters, couple of rolls of sushi. Seafood is as fresh as you expect. The service is more Irish pub than nice restaurant, but the decor is refreshed, it does not have that old dump feel that you would expect from such an old restaurant.

I would say that London Lennies has actually gotten better in the last few years. The food is always excellent, they've added some lower priced options like prix fixe, and their wine list has greatly expanded...lots of stuff by the glass ...not to mention good prices. They don't mark up the wine triple the retail price like most restaurants.

I walked by on Friday night and the place was packed! Must be doing something right.
