Home Brewed

Does anyone know if it is legal to make your own spirits in Ontario? I know we can make wine and beer but how about homemade Whiskey or scotch?

Has anyone tried and know of any resources in Toronto for the supplies?

This article discusses home distilling in Canada and describes it as being illegal:

"It's simply too dangerous for individuals to do," says Liquor Control Board of Ontario spokeswoman Danielle Gauvin. "There's a good solid chance that you can blind yourself or permanently damage your liver."

Proceed at your own risk, I suppose.

Your subject line is "home brewed" which refers to beer, you should have said "home distilled" and I'm sure the answer is no to that.

Try Fermentation's on Danforth across from Albany clinic, that's where I make my wine.
