A Little Help Please

As I was going through old boxes of " junk" I found old pay stubs from the mid-70s. I had worked for Jim and Mary Greska, they owned the Potpourri Pub on Devon, and liquor store on Clark Street. I want to say Pelican liquor store. They ran into financial trouble, as they also owned a David Berg hot dog stand/restaurant. On Broadway there was a disco named Xanadus.I then went to work for Mike and Joe Bortz @ Sally's Stage on Western. After work we would go to a bar on Halstead that was a magic bar, or to a bar on Lincoln I believe the name was Davias, with a large variety of beers. My question are these bars and restaurants still operating? Are Jim and Mary Margaret Greska still in the bar business? Thank-you any help will be appreciated.

    1. Although Sally's is long gone, Joe and Marc Bortz are still in business, they've gone through lots of concepts through the years:

Xanadu was a Mel Markon restaurant/disco, long gone (as are Mel's other establishments). Rumor had it that Mel was opening a new place, but I don't know what's happening with that.
