Where can I find Bison meat in San Francisco?

It's better for you, tasty, and real quick to cook, but all I can find is ground bison at Luckys.

Is there a source for ribs and steaks?

Golden Gate Meats in the Ferry Building carries Bison.

Whole foods (at least the Potrero one) usually has at least one steak cut, usually New York strip

Yes, and they often have stew meat, presumably leftovers from those steaks. Prices are high though (I seem to remember $7 per pound for ground buffalo).

The Bullshead in West Portal has buffalo burgers and maybe steaks. They sell meat for takeout.

I believe one of the kosher butchers (perhaps in Oakland) carries it. At some point in the past year, I had bison at a friend's house who keeps kosher, and I believe it was purchased at a local store.
