Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in New Orleans

Arnaud's or Antoine's?

I've read the reviews that are mixed, at best.

I've been to the A list restaurants and have my favorites but I have a weekend at the Roosevelt coming up and want to revisit some of the old school restaurants that used to be the cream of the crop. I know that they are considerd to be the B list or second string but I have the urge to eat some old menu stuff, and as I said, revisit old sites.

While I know some here will disagree with me but a visit to a restaurant is not always just about the food.

Last year I went to Tujaques for lunch and it was fun, especially with a stop at the bar first. Two weeks ago we had drinks at French 75 and that gave me the idea to try some oldies again.

Does anyone have any CURRENT experience with the old line restaurants that they'd like to share? I'm talking Antoine's, Arnauds, Court of Two Sisters, Pascal Manale's. Have I missed some?
