TODAY: Where to eat in Champaign, Il + High School Football Championship
Going to the 8A Final tonight and have been given a few names for a casual "pre-football game" place to eat in Champaign. They are all located near each other.
Who has the best chow: Murphy's, Legend's or the Firehaus?
Thanks for your input.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier...lived in Champaign for almost 20 years, just moved to St. Louis area a few months ago. Of the 3 Firehaus maybe has a little bit more eclectic menu and space...the burgers at Murphy's are a standard and the place has been around for decades...Legends is a slick sports bar with forgettable food. I could give you a number of other options if desired for the future.

Thanks ddfry3.
We did go to the Firehaus. Decent atmosphere. It got crowded as we were getting ready to leave, which was nice. Good timing on our part.
We had an attentive waitress. Burgers were fine but not a char-grilled type burger, which I prefer. More of a "Steak and Shake" type (out of nearby Bloomington). Also ordered onion rings which were okay.
Nice variety of beers and decent size cocktails that actually had some "oomph". Overall, not a bad experience at all. Not spectacular but it filled the bill.
Best of all, our team won for the second year in a row!
