birthday celebration dinner

anyone have suggestions on where to go for a girls' night out / birthday celebration? i'm turning the big 3-0 and gathering a group to go out for dinner and drinks. either downtown toronto or uptown (markham/richmond hill area).

Happy birthday, knk... but you're gonna have to provide more info before you get many replies on this very-common question. Could you give specs re:
i) group demographics
ii) price points
iii) kind of food
iv) atmosphere

whoops! sorry about that! as you could probably already tell, this is my first time posting on the board. :o)

so planning an outing for a group of about 15 women (late 20s-early 30s). dinner + drinks. not too expensive (prefer under $25 for entrées). type of food doesn't really matter, just looking for a fun place with laid-back atmosphere. nothing too "shi shi". but not too ordinary since it's for a special celebration. midtown, downtown, or uptown (markham/richmond hill) is okay. would prefer if they take reservations since we don't want to spend a large part of our evening waiting for a table.
