Hello HillJ, thank you for your response, most of the links that you provided is where I find most of my cookie recipes. I also use kings arthur flour site.
The one recipe I have for wonderful allspice chocolate cookies that I know can't be found on the internet is the recipe I am going to share. I know it can't be found cause I thought I had lost the recipe once and spend days trying to find it via internet with no luck....
6 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup nestles quick
6 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon allspice and cinnamon
1 cup milk
1/2 lb. crisco
4 eggs
1 cup walnuts---or any nuts you prefer
bake 350 10-15 mins.
once baked roll in icing sugar
personally I don't add 1 tsp of allspice, I find it a little too much, but that's just me.
Hope you enjoy this recipe, let me know if you bake some....
Also, I am still searching for Julia Childs rugelach recipe with no luck, if you come across it, let me know.
Heylids.....happy holidays...

heylids, according to my research Julia's recipe for rugelach was never printed in her own cookbooks but is adapted and avail thru a baking cookbook by Dorie. I'd love to hear from other CH's about this.
Thank you for adding the cookie recipe to your reply!

I think it's in "Baking with Julia" by Dorie Greenspan. The book is based on her PBS show with the same name. The recipes are not Julia's but are from the guest chefs. I believe this rugelach recipe may be from Lauren Groveman. Dorie has an excellent rugelach recipe of her own, but it's different than the one in this cookbook.
