This is the BYOB that opened where Fioravanti's used to be. My wife and I tried them last Wednesday.

Very enjoyable indeed.

Highly competent food, nice welcome, personable (and not spaced out) service, decent value. We tried their home smoked salmon (remarkable) and baked oysters (I've had a craving for those for a while). Then roast duck and lobster ravioli which were both well executed. Roasted beets were a real nice seasonal touch. Shared a dessert (beignets, which were maybe a little overcooked, but still good). $94 before tip.

Room is a bit loud (often the case with open kitchens) but that wasn't a problem for me, as it has a nice feel.

I know Fioravanti's was pretty popular on this board, and I liked it well enough, but to me, this is better.

I am happy to see this addition to the Chester County scene. Behind Birchrunville, even a hair behind Majolica, this could be our 3rd favorite high-end BYOB in the county. We all want to support these places so we don't lose another one, but I don't know how well our dining budget can withstand a third favorite. We'll see how 2010 goes.

I can't believe no one has a view on this place, given the number who were enthusiastic about its predecessor. I'll ascribe the lack of response to everyone being away at Thanksgiving and missing this post.

I just wanted to give two enthusiastic thumbs up for this place. We went a couple of weeks ago, and enjoyed the tasting menu. The food was great and the staff was very accomodating. They had a nice touch on BYO as well, fully stocked mixer bar and trained bar tenders, just bring your own splits of alcohol for martinis, mixers, etc.
