Hip and delicious kosher?!

I will be in Miami on a "girls getaway". My friend is kosher (I am not). I want to make sure we get to some really fun places, as she will be on break from 4 kids. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The only other thing that I can think of is seeing if I could persuade a regular place to cater-in a kosher airplane style meal.

Thanks in advance.

    1. I suggest you post this on the Kosher board.

        1. In Miami you've got a few options that are a notch above falafel joints.

There's Rare Steakhouse on 41st Street in Miami Beach - nice steaks and sides, great mini-burgers. Owner is a former nightlife guy so there's effort made to give the place a refined atmosphere.

And up near Bal Harbour there's Cine Citta Cafe, a mod Italian place with pizzas, pastas and fish. The same owners recently opened Cine Citta Grill a few doors down which is also a steaks place (haven't eaten there so can't vouch for it but I glanced at the menu and it's a bit pricey).

We went to Rare for Thanksgiving and it was atrocious. The steak was 1/2 fat, half of the steaks were ordered medium and cooked beyond well done and my mothers turkey was microwaved after it was brought out ice cold.

There is a Kosher Sushi place, I forgot the name, but the food was great on A1A south of Commercial on the east side. I was skeptical at first but it was delicious.
