Soul Food Farm & Recipes from Camino
The New York Times Magazine has an article about Soul Food Farm & includes
receipes adapted from Camino (for Egg Baked in Cream & Chicken Soup). I need to learn how to link, but in the meantime this can be found online at the NYTimes.

Good to hear about them again! I live nearby, and have bought eggs there. that fire come really close but I didn't realize they'd been affected. I hope I can buy chicken and eggs without a commitment, or buying $100 worth, but I will if I have to..

Thats ok! Just nice for me to think of Vacaville as a farming community!

There are a bunch of other farms off of Pleasant Valley Road.

Yay! I live off Pleasants Valley! I am originally from New York (although it's been more than 20 years), and I am beside myself. My brother calls Pleasant Valley "The Ponderosa". At the risk of taking this thread too far OT, I'd love to hear about them! I know about Morningsun herb farm, a place for apricots, one for irises, a few for olives/olive oil, but the olive oil one is in English Hills I think.

When you go to buy eggs or chickens at Soul Food, ask Alexis about the other farms nearby. She steered me to one off on a side road that had some great mandarins.
