Funny. I was just looking at this a couple of days ago. I might check it out on the 5th.

no but thanks for posting that info as I wouldn't have heard of it otherwise and my husband has signed me up for his office cookie exchange-I'm not much of a baker....

I haven't been there either, but I notice that some they have very interesting products (macarons) and good purveyors sell there (Wendy Boys - who used to be the pastry chef at Lumiere).

My Chocolate Tree is pretty great too -- I picked up some of their coffee-bean crisps at Make It Vancouver last weekend - yum. They also have gorgeous truffles that I would have had for Xmas giving but they are made with such good ingredients and no preservatives that they only have a shelf life of three weeks. May swing by to pick some up on the 12th... thanks for the heads up.

I'll be hitting the Bakers' Market this weekend unless it snows :-). And at the risk of sounding like a shill (I only know Nina from trying her products at craft/farmers markets this winter) the truffles are pretty phenomenal tasting too. I tried the passionfruit and the lemon yesterday -- this is the closest to emulating the real fruit flavours I've come across in chocolates. If the caliber of other offerings at the Bakers' Market is comparable, I may not do any baking at all this year!

I have been back in October. They are worth checking out if you have sweet tooth. But I didn't find anything amazing, just above average cupcakes and loaves
