i have read through the Disneyland threads and it looks like things haven't changed much since we were there 4 years ago. But my family is heading there next week and we need to find some good grub at a good value (I know ha ha).

The catch is that my son and I have Celiac so it has to be gluten-friendly. We are aware of the gluten-free offerings in the park and the fact that the pasta at pizza port will feed a small army (at least it used to). If there are any specific recs that people have in the park for great gluten-free values, please post.

Otherwise, any lunch/dinner options in Downtown disney worth walking outside the park (we won't have our car there)?

Anyplace to get food to take into the park for lunch before the park opens? We are staying near Disneyland. I know about Lee's Sandwiches and the Vietnamese places, but unfortunately they may not work with the gluten-free issues.

Also need breakfast for at least one day when the park doesn't open until 10 AM. Jagerhaus a good option for that?

From CiliacHandbook.com the following restaurants at Disneyland have gluten free menus available:
Blue Bayou Restaurant
Carnation Cafe
Goofy's Kitchen
Redd Rockett’s Zizza Port
Storytellers Café

Mimi's Cafe across the street from Disneyland has a gluten free menu available too.

Check "Orange County" for other restaurants

Yes we are familiar with the GF menus in the park, so we are covered there, unless folks have a suggestion for a great value meal that is also GF.

What we are looking for is suggestions for breakfast or close-by lunch/dinner that is also gluten-free. Doesn't need a gluten free menu as long as they communicate well and have some options without flour or soy sauce.

We bulked up on breakfast 2 of the 3 days. First was Jagerhaus. We enjoyed it, but couldn't eat German breakfast often! Very heavy. I really enjoyed the sauerkraut. The sausage was fine. The corn beef hash was very different than we expected - a patty, not corn beef and potato hash, but it was tastey. Son enjoyed the german pancake (apple). We all loved the plum jam!

Second day we hit original pancake house because they do gluten-free pancakes for the wee one, and they got decent reviews here by some folks. It was fine, hit the spot that day. GF pancakes weren't great (pumpkin had no pumpkin or other flavor, pecan was better). Husband said the regular pancakes were good, but he isn't a pancake fan. He didn't say much about his omelet. Kids loved their food. Would go back if we were needing a GF breakfast for my son, but have a feeling we ordered the wrong things this time.

Reported on El Farolito breakfast in another thread - it was pretty yummy especially after very mediocre food at Disneyland (turkey leg, undercooked GF pizza, and bad Mexican food).
