Macina Legumi Food Mill - HELP!!!

I have a Macina Legumi food mill with three discs that I purchased many years ago, used once, and stowed away in its original carton. I want to use it for making an apple-pear sauce, but I can't figure out how to assemble it. There are no instructions, and all I have to go by is the photo on the box. When I put it together in a way that looks like the photo, it's so tight I'm afraid I'm going to shave slivers of metal into the sauce. Can anyone give me some pointers?

Never mind! As it turns out, I had put the disc in upside down. Disaster averted!
