We buy the thighs and breasts regularly. Tastes great, and an excellent value. We prefer the organic Rocky chicken at Whole Foods the most, but unless it's on super sale, we stick with Coleman.

Shop Rite in Mercer Mall (Rt 1) often carries the Coleman birds. Pretty good on the grill, but they are 4+ lbs. We like a little smaller. They almost always have asst' chix parts on the shelf.

Excellent texture and taste; seems like the Coleman's chix get to "run around" alot. I like the plumpness of the breed and Coleman's Chix make great roast or rotisserie on the grill.....Very pleased!!!!!!!!

    2. I tried em for the first time the other day for beer can chicken....for me they were not worth the extra $$ in terms of flavor.

I guess I am partial to organically fed chickens for taste; but just as important, what they are fed. I prefer not to be eating recyclerd chicken by products that makes up part of the feed of factory produced birds. Maybe it is a"Soylent Green" reaction!!!!

      2. bumping this up to report that I noticed today that the Coleman's organic chicken (both whole chickens and skinless chicken breasts) are certified halal. Yay! No more needing to drive fifty or sixty miles from my small town (Merced, CA) to find halal poultry...I've always thought the flavor was good and that they are good value.

        1. I like to keep the b/s thighs on hand. They seem like a good value and I like the way the thighs cook up.
