Hi all! I'm new to the Bay Area and I've been looking for good up-scale Wine Bars that also serve good food. Any recommendation you may have will be helpful!

Thanks!

If you are into Burgundies, you should check out RN74. It was not cheap, but not a rip off either. They had a beautiful selection when I visited in July. The other plus is that they offered 3oz as well as full glass pours. The food was ok-the beef carpaccio was ice cold but the gnocchi with sweet corn was good. I was more or less ignored after I was seated at the common table. However, once the manager noticed me being ignored, the quality of service picked up dramatically. To be fair, I believe they had recently opened and they were very busy the night I was there.

À Côté in Oakland.. Second on both Cav and Incanto.

Franklin Square isn't quite in that league but I think it's cheaper. For some reason the link isn't coming up.

For Italian, sitting at Incanto's comfortable bar is hard to beat. They have a great by the glass wine program, including half pours, that rotate depending on what they like with the food at the moment. I've gotten better wines (more $$), better matched to my food in the "Mysterey Flight" on week nights when they are less crowded and I sit at the bar than I get on busy weekend nights sitting in the restaurant.
