Domenico's in Blue Bell Opens

Jdbc Nov 24, 2009 09:04 AM

Apparently Domenico's in Blue Bell, the former Blue Horse, opened for dinner yesterday. Their website says they'll serve lunch eventually, just not yet. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone's planning to go and how it is.

Miserable experience... Decided to give Domenico's in Blue Bell a try - its beautiful exterior lured us in. My BF and I were met by a sorta friendly receptionist who promptly told us that it was a 2 plus hour wait for dinner but we could dine at the bar if we didn't want to wait for a table. No offer to take our names in the event a table opened up though.
We sat at the bar (which is gorgeous) and had a round - we tried numerous times to order a second round from either of the two bartenders- but were ignored. Ignored some more, and more and more and more... Asked for a DINNER menu twice - ignored, ignored, ignored - finally got the BAR menu tossed at us but our glasses remained empty. After another 10 minutes we flagged down the bartender who seemed annoyed at us for asking for the check - Hey we had been there for just over an hour at that point - I was thirsty and hungry... We left and went to San Marco's just down the road and had a wonderful dinner where the service was GREAT!

I am immediately suspicious of a post when the poster ahem- HeiressMJ- gives a poor review or complains about a restaurant and then recommends a nearby competitor restaurant. ESPECIALLY when the poster has no other posts or recommendations on this website..............!!!

One of my friends has been a couple times now. She says the interior is beautifully redone and that the food is terrific. I'm going to have to check it out.

Anyone know who owned the blue horse restaurant? Really would like to know because he/she made of with a hefty wedding rehearsal dinner deposit and didn't inform me of the closing. I would love to chat with him/her!

One of the owners was present at a real estate closing we had. I still have the file. I will look when I get to my office on Monday
