Really good dinner at Rye Restaurant, Williamsburg.

Went the other night to Rye in Williamsburg, bean meaning to get there and I wasn't disappointed at all. Great feel to the place, and the food matched. Started with duck confit, tasty, and also had a mixed salad, (very fresh), then had the meatloaf and the duck breast and a side of mac and cheese.....really good stuff....I'll be going back real soon.

That sounds good. But isn't it super expensive? I went to Dressler once and did not love it. I used to be a big fan of Dumont back in the day.

I don't remeber the exact amount, but I do remember it being very fair for what you get. If i have the time I'll look for the bill, I have it somewhere; maybe I'll be going back there tonight.

Keep in mind I have only been to Rye once, but I would say it is more in line with Dumont than Dressler. My wife and I enjoyed Rye, as we do Dumont, and have mixed feelings about Dressler, if that helps at all.

Only went to Rye once, but loved the place and had a really good meal. I had the duck, my wife had the quail, and my friend had the striped bass...prices were quite moderate (it hadn't been open long at that point) along the lines of Dumont, maybe even a bit less. Definitely not as high as Dressler (which is still one of my favorite restaurants, even if I rarely get to go there).

Great, I'll give it a try. Thanks.
