Seeking a Pittsburgh dinner rec for Friday night

Hello all,

Every year my family meets in Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving. On Friday night, we usually go out to dinner; most years we've gone to Lidia's Pittsburgh and have really enjoyed it, both for the quality of the food and the price. We'd like to try someplace new this year, no real preference as to cuisine, but my father is kind of a picky eater (likes simple, clean Mediterranean type food, nothing too spicy), so there should be something to accommodate his tastes. Any suggestions? Again, any area of the city, any type of cuisine, but solid tasty food at a reasonable price. Thank you!

  1. Iovino's in Mt. Lebanon might meet your needs (and your dad's). It's BYOB with $5 corkage. Had a delicious dinner there a couple weeks ago.
