MomoFoku Ko or Nobu

I have reservations this sunday at both momofoku ko and nobu....
where do you think I should go? Never been to either one.

  1. No question about this one!!! Go to Ko!!!! you can go to nobu anytime!

      Completely agree. Nobu is a ridiculously overpriced tourist trap with some good dishes. Ko - though there are some misses - is way more interesting both conceptually and execution-wise. And the wine pairings are excellent.

    2. reservations at Ko are hard to get, so i'd do that.

      1. No question about it: go to Nobu and give me your Ko reservation :-)

        I went to Ko last night for the first time... It was an unforgettable experience.

        1. Momofuku Ko. Harder to get into, more innovative cuisine and better all around. Nobu isn't bad but they have really been doing the same thing for the past 10 years and you can go any time.

            1. Go to Ko. Go.To.Ko. You.Will.Love.Every.Bite. I went in the Spring, I remember that... It was awesome. Awe-and then-some! We went out all the way got the top notch wines paired with all courses - each plate in front of us was tastier than the next one, more unique, more flavorful, so succulent, so fresh, so different than anything you've had...

              I would love to go back - just no time for online games. And you have to budget that week you go to Ko accordingly - our check was $900 before tip. Color me shocked, at the end of the night looking at all the digits on the bill I thought it was my date of birth.

              I only ate at Nobu Next door once and hated it. The food was mediocre, the ambiance sucked, it was expensive, too. Edited to add: I live TWO blocks away from the place and find it beyond unappealing for no reason in particular. Shoot me.

              I am a huge fan of BondSt downstairs - casual - I sit at the bar, know the bartenders, small talk is actually tons of fun, the saketinis (dry) are rocking my world at this point, fried deliciousness starts arriving, some perfectly salted edamame for good measure - all great. I have the best time when I go there - always bring boyfriend or great friends - awesome destination for a fun and delicious meal.
